Happy 14th Birthday Nate!

January 20, 1997 we were blessed with a dark haired, beautiful baby boy.  Fast forward 14 years and we have a tall, dark & handsome teenage son.  We are so enjoying him - he's smart, funny, caring, kind, responsible, loving, energetic - I could go on & on.  Happy Birthday Nathan - we love you!

Nate's birthday was a busy day.  He had a home swim meet that night against rival Elk River & it was Parent's Night during the meet.  Each season the boys take the opportunity at one of the meets to recognize their parents.  They each get to write a personal message in the program for the meet.

Climb to the top

Over the summer/fall we had a system going where the kids earned marbles for helping out around the house & when their marble jar was full they earned a reward.  They've earned tickets to the movie, an afternoon at the shooting range, a new toy.... you get the idea.  One time both Nate & Sarah had full jars at the same time so we offered them a day at Vertical Endeavors.

They both had enjoyed rock climbing in South Dakota over the summer and wanted a chance to do it again.  This was a little different than climbing outside, but they had just as much fun!

Happy 2011!

I've been MIA for several months - hard to find the time to keep the photos updated on the blog with a busy household of 5!   I don't really make resolutions, but I am going to make an effort to blog more this year.  There may not be full photo albums on here, but I can journal and post a few pictures here and there which won't seem so overwhelming.   If I get really motivated I will go back and fill in the months that I've missed :-).   For right now, time to get the morning routine started........
